What is the difference between MYC-SAM9X5 and MYC-SAM9X5-V2?
 
Question
What is the difference between MYC-SAM9X35 and MYC-SAM9X35-V2, the case size only?
Answer
The MYC-SAM9X5 and MYC-SAM9X5-V2 are all using the Atmel AT91SAM9X5 series processors (AT91SAM9G15, SAM9G25, SAM9G35, SAM9X25 and SAM9X35) and have 128MB DDR2 SDRAM, 256MB Nand Flash, 4MB Data Flash, 64KB EEPROM and Ethernet PHY on board. The main differences are as below:
1. The MYC-SAM9X5 size is 67.6mm x 35mm while the MYC-SAM9X5-V2 size is 72mm x 50mm;
2. The MYC-SAM9X5 is using 8-layer PCB design while the MYC-SAM9X5-V2 is using 6-layer PCB design;
3. The MYC-SAM9X5 is using SO-DIMM 200-pin connector while the MYC-SAM9X5-V2 is using two 2.0mm pitch 70-pin (2*35-pin) dip connectors.
The SO-DIMM 200-pin connector is easy to plug in and out but the cost is a little higher;

The 2.0mm pitch 70-pin connector is not easy to plus in and out as the SO-DIMM connector, but the connection might be more stable. Many customers have different likes and dislikes for the expansion connectors. They can select according to their requirement.

4. MYIR designed different base boards for the two modules. User can use the two development boards MYD-SAM9X5 and MYD-SAM9X5-V2 to evaluate the two modules.
