FPGA+MPU+MCU - Automatic Blood Cell Analyzer Solution from MYIR

The Automatic blood cell analyzer is one of the most widely used instruments in hospital clinical examination, which is used to detect red blood cells, hemoglobin, white blood cells, platelets and other items. It is a fully automatic intelligent equipment based on electronic technology and automation technology, with full functions and simple operation. Relying on relevant computer systems, it has excellent performance in data processing and data analysis, and can carry out reliable analysis of multiple parameters at the same time. Through networking and interactive touch screen, it can realize online information sharing and more other functions, which is widely used in hospital clinical examination.




The hardware system of automatic blood cell analyzer is mainly divided into three lines. The first is the data line, based on FPGA, is mainly used for high-speed data acquisition. The second is the control line, based on MCU, is mainly used for peripheral driver control and sensor data detection. The last is the human machine interaction line, based on MPU, is mainly used as control center to manage different parts, and complete the data processing, visualization results and human machine interaction.


Automatic Blood Cell Analyzer Hardware System


The Automatic blood cell analyzer functional system can be divided into signal processing system, driver control system and main control system. Each major system is the bridge to connect the whole machine.

- Signal Processing System: After obtaining the laser scattered light signal, photoelectric conversion is carried out on it, and then through analog amplification and filtering processing, the main purpose is to filter the clutter and adjust the signal for AD conversion, and send the digital signal to FPGA for processing and storage.

- Driver Control System: The driver control system mainly consists of three functions: control, detection and power drive. It is used to receive the command of the main control system and generate the drive logic signal according to the predetermined protocol. Detection is to provide feedback information for control, and the purpose is to control, while the power drive converts the drive logic signal to the power signal, and drives the power components.

- Main Control System: As the core of the whole system, the main control system sends control instructions to the driver control system through UART, and the MCU of the driver control system executes the control operation of peripherals such as motor, solenoid valve and pump. While on the other hand, the main control system sends acquisition instruction signals to FPGA through SPI/PCIE for data collection, then upload the data to the main control system through SPI/PCIE for processing and analysis. The analysis results will be displayed and printed through the touch display system and also be uploaded to the hospital LIS or HIS system through the network.

The MYC-JX8MMA7 CPU Module is equipped with NXP i.MX 8M Mini processor with quad ARM Cortex-A53 cores, which provides excellent data processing capabilities and HMI interface to meet the requirements of data processing, task scheduling and HMI of "Main Control System".

- Real-time Detection and Control Functions

The MYC-JX8MMA7 CPU Module has an ARM Cortex-M4 processor of the NXP i.MX 8M Mini which can provide sensor data detection and real-time control functions to meet the real-time peripheral driver and data acquisition requirements detection of Driver Control System.

- High Speed Communication Capability

The MYC-JX8MMA7 CPU Module adopts PCIE high-speed communication between MPU and FPGA, with the communication capacity of 200~300MB/S, to meet the demand for fast data transmission.
